Edina West Condominiums
Sanitary Sewer Replacement – Project Overview
The project to replace the buried sanity sewer lines in the parking garages will begin on Monday, June 24 in Building 3. The process will take approximately 25 working days in each building/garage. Building 3 will be followed by Buildings 4, 1, then lastly 2.
A large section of the garage floor will need to be removed and open trenches will be excavated to complete the pipe replacement – for the safety of residents and the project team, the garages will be inaccessible throughout the duration of the project. It will be impossible to remove any vehicles left in the garage for the duration of the project.
Homeowner preparation and impact:
Parking
Please begin parking your vehicle outside prior to 6/24
Parking will be allowed along the road into Edina West to accommodate the additional outdoor parking
Any vehicles left inside of the garage will need to be covered to protect them from dust and debris.
If a vehicles must be left in the garage, please park your vehicle sideways and away from building columns to provide as much room as possible for the project team
Storage Units/Bicycles
Storage units and Bicycles will be inaccessible
Please remove any items that you may need prior to the start of the project
Cover any items that will be left in the garage
Garbage/Recycling
Garbage room doors will be locked during the project
A new dumpster will be brought in outside of your building
The garbage vendor has assured us this will be easy to open
You will need to walk into building 4 and take the stairwell to the garage for your recycling. All doors in building 3 should not accessed.
A Monitor will be installed in the lobby of each building throughout that building’s work. The TV will provide updates on the project schedule and impacts to residents. Additionally, the TV will link to a website with further information and photos.
If you need assistance, whether it be with your garbage or groceries, please reach out to either someone from the Good Neighbor committee or a friend.
While we have workers in the garage, please do not interrupt them. This is a time-sensitive project, and we can’t have them distracted from their work. If you have questions, please direct them to Bob.
